In honor of Earth Day we invite you to breathe life into your old items

Repurpose - recycle - reuse - upcycle … you’re an artisan that has brought back to life! Maybe you just don’t like to see the landfills filling up. This can be very therapeutic seeing results! From reusing old wine corks to create beautiful table-settings to transforming mason jars into rustic chandeliers, recycling furniture to your style, these ideas ensure that nothing goes to waste. After all, one person's trash is another's treasure, right? Upcycling is a great way to reuse materials and reduce our footprint.

Use your creativity to spark some life into old things. Once you have the interest it is easy to spend hours getting inspiration from swap meets and flea markets, thrift stores, garage sales, and books and magazines. So, don’t just drive by the pile or “treasure” you see, be inspired, get creative and make a new and fabulous thing from an old item; and of course there are wonderful shops with repurposeful items located right here in Buzzards Bay called Seakers; stop by and be inspired as well as Buzzards Bay Antique Center

Discover your inner creative handyperson and let your imagination run free!

(Photos from Repurposer Angel King) This table and chair set was being thrown away...The table was in rough shape...and the chairs were stained. I took it to my home in Maine took me two days to redo using my ragging method and reupholstered the chairs and now used in dining room table alongside the buffet I redid in my Maine home.
